"I have learned a lot from this experience and would do it again."
These past school holidays saw aspiring Year 11 artist Jeremiah Daniels Pepperill take on a challenging new project on the side of
new Clontarf partner Lhere Artepe's building in the Central Australian town of Alice Springs.
Jeremiah, 17, who is more accustomed to a traditional style of painting, has work that has been much sought after by staff and
families of the school he attends. Always open to commissions and up for a new challenge, Jeremiah accepted an offer to help out
on a new mural artwork led by Tammy, a local street artist for her new start up business 'Colour Relief Youth Arts'.
Standing on scaffolding for hours in the Central Australian sun for almost two weeks, Jeremiah put his painting skills to the test as
he learnt how to convert small sketches to large full-scale pieces swapping a paintbrush for a spray gun.
When asked, Jeremiah said he has learnt a lot from the experience and would do it again. Either way, whether it's an intricate
artwork on canvas depicting community and country or large murals on the side of buildings, Jeremiah is an artist to keep an eye out for in the future.
